1. What is unique or different about working with me?

You style is very relaxed but very objective. We all can do with an objective “voice” in our lives that doesn’t cast judgment just sticks to the observed facts. If more people honestly confronted with their patterns of behavior, more people would be nicer, or kinder or at least civil to each other. I appreciate the objective honest answers and questions from our discussions. I wish they where longer. I wish we were friends.

2.  What has changed for you because of our working together?

I have been given “words” to express how I feel or relay a message I found to be difficult or confrontational. My problem before was knowing what to say to people so that I was clear in how I felt and I knew what was needed to understand the situation come to an agreement or at least a consensus, and move on. 

3.  If you referred me to someone, what would you tell them?

Ann, has a way of putting the task back on you so you really understand what you have to do to follow through with the process or fix the problem. Asking questions like, “So what are you going to do to fix that” makes you think, “Oh well now I need to figure out how I’m going to actually fix it. Not complain about it, not simply observe or state the situation out loud.” I don’t think it’s hardwired in us as humans to confront our roadblocks by asking ourselves how to change/fix the problem. We just accept it or ignore it and force others to live without shortcomings. Anne makes you see that it doesn’t have to be that way.

4.  What have learned about yourself since we worked together?

That I have three selves: child, parent and adult. I must be aware of who I am and how I talk to those around me as one of those selves. While my children may benefit from me talking to them as a parent, my husband may not. Being aware of my tone and the appropriate level of en people, allows me to retain those relationships on their appropriate levels. 

5.  How have you benefitted from our working together?

I truly believe I have become more self-aware. Because your coaching was done in conjunction with the leadership program, it provided the perfect platform for self-awareness. I have learned so much about myself and who I am and how much better I can be, especially to those that I love the most. Thank you, Ann.
